As part of its internationalisation efforts, Rakuten took over the online shop provider and marketplace Tradoria in Germany. After the takeover, this marketplace was one of the most well-known online marketplaces in Germany with several million products and users. A new corporate culture and new processes were successfully established.
For us it was a goal to optimize the product management. At the same time, the PM team worked on Rakuten’s international marketplace system for small and medium-sized online marketplaces.
